O Moon September 13, 2014   Hanging there in your ethereal dress White against the stellar blue of space Poet’s muse and lover’s last lament When haunted by the beauty of a face; Has man defiled you with his heavy feet Trampling boldly on your sacred dust To learn the secrets you have hidden well In his insatiable conquering lust. And yet who can defile your mystic spell The reflection of your enigmatic smile Waxing, waning through the solar years Bear with us impatient men awhile For soon a new-born sun will grace our days And lover and beloved will sing your praise.

All Living Things Complete April 6, 2014 If I could meet thee not alone in trance Look on thy perfect beauty, the romance Of life, the music that was born in me Would sing and sorrow could no longer be. The earth is thine of that my soul is sure And being thine will once again be pure, Her lands, her lakes, her seas, her skies, pristine Her body radiant, apparelled in green, Her austere mountain peaks of solitude Her rivers and plains all wondrously renewed To welcome once again your lotus feet And thy touch of love all living things complete.

The Dawn September 15, 2014   I knew her once in olden times When stars had just begun to flame I chanted odes upon her name In sun-bright worlds, in gentler climes. Where is she now the heart would know When the soul of me is lost and lone And yet I sense she has not gone For in my dreams to her I go. The senselessness of warring days Seems to eclipse the new-born light But those blessed with the inner sight Live in wonder, kneel in praise. They see what our unsighted eyes Or minds by ego-sated greed, The flower bursting from the seed, The dawn that fills with joy the skies.

Songs as Yet Unsung March 21, 2014 I sawsorrowclinging to an aged face And beauty dimmed through the long dying years, A body so bowed there lingered not a trace Of former beauty but the scarring tears Of hopelessness consigned to welcome death. Then I saw children filled with inner light Expressive of soul’s joy with every breath Who lived with wonder and the daring flight To unknown worlds where beauty lives and Grace Is benefactor of our earthly days. I saw the new-born of a coming race And knelt before a cradle filled with praise, The Avatars I met of a golden age In a Pondicherry Ashram by the sea, Enveloping

Release the Past May 16, 2014 I see before me as in a waking dream A face once known but lost through spinning time How long, I wonder before we meet again As through unremembered births we slowly climb The golden stairway through the realms of space To rest, perhaps to recollect the past, Our insufficiencies and wayward turns, The dreams of youth that could not hope to last, The melodies we brought from other spheres The fragrances of love, the taste of bliss, The triumphs and tears of adolescent years. How long I wonder before we can transform These houses of clay that soon return to dust To build the temple for a form

As A Child Remembering Sept. 26, 2014   As a child remembering the snow-drift skies In the silence and serenity of night, The crystal window dazzling to the eyes And all his morning world bedecked in white. Older now the seasons take their toll But the child within the man remains And waits upon the Spring within his soul Honours the hours, bears the body's pains. For joy was born in consecrated birth And life in all its rushing beauty came

Return in Calm April 4 2014 From a distance I retain The memory of fragrant days Tormented not by fires that burn Within the depths, a resting phase While sleep attends my journey home To a place known in the silent heart Where flowers sweetly whisper, "Come And set the mind at ease, apart From mortal cares." The Ashram's peace Dwells constantly within me now And all these worldly troubles cease Within my calm untroubled brow.

If She Cast Her Glance Upon Me April 22, 2014 When I approach the hour of my death I will not rail against the gods nor shout But draw in joy the full and final breath And never let the flame of love burn out. I will quietly ascend to realms of peace Knowing time is timeless and the years Of the wondrous inner journey will not cease. For I shall live again and love though tears Attend me as I tread the upward way. A hundred lifetimes nothing if She cast Once more her glance upon me as I pray And rest my head upon Her feet at last.

No Waylost Years Dec. 28, 2014   Singing through the solar stillness I heard the eternal sound It was a stellar melody Achingly profound. It seemed a flute of ecstasy Circling round my soul, Sweetly from eternity Its life-enhancing call. At times I seemed to hear the OM Creator of worlds and more, A voice sang sweetly, "Come, O come And touched me as never before. On earth we bear relentless noise

-05_On Neruda^s Love Poems.htm On Neruda's Love Poems April 9, 2014 Reading Neruda's love poems this I feel, The woman that he loves is some divine Eternal feminine, a maker of worlds, Executrix of One who stands behind. His words, both intimate and sensual Soar beyond this life of lust and need And even Nature from his mighty pen Apotheosized and beauty is her face. Sadness and longing his expressions too Of dreams that lie in us awaiting still The moment when the soul steps forth and sings. All life is prelude to our awakenings.
