FLOWERS AND THEIR SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCES
Flowers have been mediums for messages since time
immemorial. In the Victorian era they were used as love notes to convey
the deepest feelings between lover and beloved or to arrange assignations.
Yet long before this flowers were offered to the gods as vehicles of
prayer and devotion and they have been and remain today the chosen custom
of expressing sorrow and reverence for the dead as well as traditional
gifts on the occasions of births, weddings and anniversaries.
Do flowers have in them a special occult, i.e. hidde

The beauty, the colours, the great variation in size are
some of the major qualities of these exceptional flowering plants. Thee is
much more, however, since we now have from Mother the ‘Messages’ with
which the flowers vibrate and, if we can go deeply enough into ourselves,
we can receive and progress within by allowing their vibrations to enter
and assist in the transformation of our being.

Flowering Shrubs – Part 1 – Purity
Although there are now more than 20,000 photographs in my
library, taken over a period of more than fifty years, beginning with the
early Nikon film cameras and various colour films and now progressing into
the digital era, there remain may more photos to be taken of plants and
flowers whose inner significances Mother has revealed to us.
I have selected some of the better photos to include in
these articles and initially considered eighty of them arranged by
significance, but finally ha

A Note on the Matrimandir Gardens
Sri Aurobindo spoke of a perfect perfection and
indeed the Matrimandir Gardens will exemplify this for it is the
Divine who is building them and they will be built exactly
according to the Divine Will. In fact, they are already built in
the subtle world and only await manifestation on the physical
plane.
A true spirit of harmony must prevail amongst all

The
Matrimandir Nursery and the Matrimandir Gardens
"Mother
asked me to write you and tell you that She wants you to
prepare to come and build the Gardens of the Matrimandir."
From a letter from Udar to Narad (Richard Eggenberger). In
this article, Narad reminiscences about his life and the
starting of the Matrimandir Nursery and Gardens.
I have always had a deep connection to flowers. My first
conscious remembrance of dealing with flowers was when, 5 years
old, I pulled off
On The Significance of the Order of
the Matrimandir Gardens
I have occasionally been asked about the significance of
the arrangement of the twelve gardens of the Matrimandir. How to the
gardens relate to each other in the order that has been given by Mother?
The first garden is the Garden of Existence.
All begins with existence, Sat., and I see this garden as representative
of the initial manifestation with its stone, pools, primordial plants
such as bamboo, ferns, etc.

A Walk in the Outer Gardens of the Matrimandir
I had the opportunity last week to walk through a section
of the Matrimandir outer gardens with two friends. It was an
extraordinary hour spent in the presence of massive, kingly trees,
flowers and fragrances. The eucalyptus were awe-inspiring, towering to
great heights. Eucalyptus ptychocarpa was truly magnificent with its
brilliant clusters of reddish-pink flowers. All was a revelation of
Nature's loveliness.
These special children of ours, planted in the early to
mid 1970's, had many of the l
