21 FEBRUARY 1958   To celebrate the birth of a transitory body can satisfy some faithful feelings. To celebrate the manifestation of the eternal Consciousness can be done at every moment of the universal history. 5th December 2003       Sri Aurobindo has given up his body in an. act of supreme unselfishness, renouncing the realisation in his own body to hasten the hour of the collective realisation. Surely if the earth were more responsive, this would not have been necessary.

24 NOVEMBER 1959   How can the immortal Gods and Nature change? All changes in a world that is the same As man from childhood grows, yet is the same. Man most must change who is a soul of Time And the gods alter too who rule his mind. Out of their Chthonian darkness they arise And are in their new birth the Suns of Light. Man then shall change into a Soul of Light And be the likeness of his gods. SRI AUROBINDO   Previous                            Home
