Surrender to the Divine Will
SURRENDER
Surrender: the decision
to hand over the responsibility of your life to the Divine. This is done either
through the mind or the emotion or the life-impulse or through all of them
together.
To surrender to the
Divine is to renounce your narrow limits and let yourself be invaded by It and
made a centre for Its play.
If you are truly
surrendered to the Divine, in the right manner and totally, then at every
moment you will be what you ought to be, you will do what you ought to do, you
will know what you ought to know.
But for that you should
have transcended all the limitations of the ego.

Those who are sincere I
can help and turn easily towards the Divine. But where there is insincerity I
can do very little. And as I have told you already, we have only to be patient
and wait for things to become better. But surely I do not see why you should
get disturbed and in what way your disturbance would help things to be better.
You know by experience that there is only one way of getting out of confusion
and obscurity; it is to remain very quiet and peaceful, firm in equanimity and
to let the storm pass away. Rise above these petty quarrels and difficulties
and wake up once more in the light and the power of my love which never leaves
you.

ELEMENTS OF YOGA
Sincerity
Sincerity is the key of
the divine doors.
Be sincere.
Sincerity is the gate to
Divinity.
Sincerity means to lift
all the movements of the being to the level of the highest consciousness and realisation already attained.
Sincerity exacts the
unification and harmonisation of the whole being in
all its parts and movements around the central Divine Will.

To be sincere, all the
parts of the being must be united in their aspiration for the Divine ― not that one part wants
and others refuse or revolt. To be sincere in the aspiration to want the Divine
for the Divine's sake, not

Openness
and Receptivity
OPENNESS
Openness is the will to
receive and to utilise for progress the force and
influence; the constant aspiration to remain in touch with the Consciousness;
the faith that the force and consciousness are always with you, around you,
inside you and that you have only to let nothing stand in the way of your
receiving them.
Opening is a release of
the consciousness by which it begins to admit into itself the workings of the
Divine Light and Power.
Open to the
consciousness which is working on and in you and keep always as quiet and
peaceful as you can.
I pray that I may serve you consciously and sincerely,

Aspiration
What is exactly
meant by a sincere aspiration?
An aspiration which is not mixed with any
interested and egoistic calculation.

It is to the sincerity
of your aspiration that the Love answers spontaneously.

*
Let your aspiration leap
forward, pure and straight, towards the supreme consciousness which is all joy
and all beatitude.
We must aspire with all
our being for the manifestation to come soon and complete.

Le Livre du Double Crépuscule
Make rather thy thought a plain and faithful glass
Reflecting Matter and mortality,
And know thy soul a product of the flesh,
A made-up self in the constructed world.
Thy words are large murmurs in a mystic dream.
For how in the soiled heart of man could dwell
The inarticulate grandeur of thy dream-built God,
Or who can see a face and form divine
In the naked two-legged worm thou callest man ?
O human face, put off mind-painted masks:
The animal be, the worm that Nature m

Le Livre du Double Crépuscule
A hand is lifted towards the Invisible's realm
Beyond the superconscient's blinding line
And plucks away the screens of the Unknown;
A spirit within looks into the Eternal's eyes.
It hears the Word to which our hearts were deaf,
It sees through the blaze in which our thoughts grew blind;
It drinks from the naked breasts of glorious Truth,
It learns the secrets of eternity.
Thus all was plunged into the riddling Night,
Thus all is raised to meet a dazzling Sun.

Canto IV
When darkness deepens strangling the earth's breast
And man's corporeal mind is the only lamp,
As a thief's in the night shall be the covert tread
Of one who steps unseen into his house.
A voice ill-heard shall speak, the soul obey,
A power into mind's inner chamber steal,
A charm and sweetness open life's closed doors
And beauty conquer the resisting world,
The truth-light capture Nature by surprise,
A stealth of God compel the heart to bliss
And earth grow unexpectedly divine.
In Matter shall be lit the spirit's glow,

Canto I
"O Satyavan,
O luminous Savitri,
I sent you forth of old beneath the stars,
A dual power of God in an ignorant world,
In a hedged creation shut from limitless self,
Bringing down God to the insentient globe,
Lifting earth-beings to immortality.

Through life and mind and supernature's Vast
To the supernal light of Timelessness
And my eternity hid in moving Time
And my boundlessness cut by the curve of Space.
