Dear Mother,
Richard and I felt that we should write to You of the
results of our first day of work at the Center yesterday.
Much was accomplished in a short time; weeding, grading
and leveling the area around the rock garden, grading the raised areas
and filing in holes were the rains had caused erosion. On Monday we
plant to complete the outside grading around the hill area and will
plant "Sri Aurobindo's Compassion" so that some beauty and color wil

Narad,
Here is a copy of a dream experience during my days at the
Nursery. It was sent to Mother and I have also enclosed Her response.
Her answer certainly seems to underscore the importance of
the work of the Nursery and Gardens.
Those Trees and plants now surrounding the Matrimandir
stand as living symbols of all the love, consciousness and care that
went into the planting of those initial seedlings by the early pioneers
of Auroville. As I see it, they imbibe the Very Force an

Dearest Mother,
Richard Pearson and I have completed the first draft of
the book of the Significance of Flowers.
We now have many points to be clarified and I would like
also to send You some of the new flowers from the Matrimandir Gardens
Nursery.
Could Richard P. begin to see you in March?
