Into the Troubled World of Man. May 5, 2014 "I have conquered death, not death itself The idea of death" Archaka said. And I have seen with vision's eye Walk inarmed the living and dead. We are continually born To live, to laugh, and what is death Who steals the body but the soul Escapes before the final breath, And rises silently to rest At peace in a supernal Light, To once again assume the form, Pinions descending in delight Landing with a diviner plan Into the troubled world of man.

The Avatar, the Seer June 21, 2014 Now the mind is stilled and slowly peace Descends in waves and I no longer know The road on which I've walked unconsciously In haste to find that place where I must go, To find the reason for my time on earth. A lonely road I travel and alone Must seek the inner light or careless fail. For what past sins my spirit must atone In these twilit years I catch a fleeting glimpse And wondrous lives long past and loves no more. For all I have achieved adds up to nil As I approach the hallowed open door. Who calls me by my name, invites me in? He who embraces me I know, revere, Before

-12_The Darkness before the Avatars^ Descent.htm The Darkness before the Avatars' Descent May 14, 2014 It follows us like a questing hound Sensing the nearness of its hidden prey Stealthily approaching with not a sound, Darkness pounces on last light of day. With burning eyes like chunks of glowing coal The silent creatures of the night return, Among them those who seek to steal the soul All goodness, loveliness and truth they spurn Savoring the evil of their way, Vampires not of flesh but a fiendish kind Who would rush to suck the marrow from the grey Obfuscated matter we call mind. Is there a way to enter into light As the unrepentant forces r

Progress of the Soul March 28, 2014 A break in continuity and why? The iron past refuses still to die And like the Gordian knot it must be shorn And all the human vestments we have worn Discarded one by one till none remain Save the body, conscious, without stain. The path is hard and transformation's hour Awaits its moment like a hidden flower Suddenly uncovered to the eye Of one who sees, unburdened, destiny Approaching in the secrecy of night And looks in awe upon the face of Light.

To Find My Soul May 6, 2014 A strange light appeared upon the lake, The steel-grey water rippling in the wind Seemed to symbolize our darkened state. We cannot see the golden rays behind Sleet's flashing silver arrows that swiftly pierce The tranquil beauty of the motherland. I think of all the wars now raging on Rampant greed and motives well concealed Midst the sombre atmosphere of murky skies. Phantasmagorical this world of men. Are we more real than all this shifting scene Who harvest kernels of truth in falsehood's fields? I came for this, not more and nothing less, To find my soul still hidden in ego's veils.

Love Reveals the Way March 30, 2014 A visitor named ‘Sorrow’ came again Reminding of my failures now and past, But I from his enduring clutches freed The soul to soar, the body willed to last Beyond the ills I see in hollow men, Their lusts, their anger and their driving greed; This fluttering heart has found its strength through pain That once was beaten like a withered reed. I know the inner spirit is immune Yet hid from me is the Beloved’s face, A voice I hear that counsels parting soon From life’s disharmony, the world's disgrace. I must not leave for love reveals the way Abrogates the night, relumes this clay.

Thine Alone Oct. 3, 2014   I cannot hold thee long enough In the sanctuary of my heart The consciousness is still too rough. It seems at times I live apart From thee when thought disturbs the brain And concentration's witness shrine Is filled with images mundane Or past mistakes I underline Unable to shake off memories Of sorrow, longing and desire; The chequered life's antitheses Keep the soul from rising higher. Peace I need and calm to bear The small infirmities of age. Take me Lord into thy care That I may turn the waiting page, Discover that which I must be, Thine alone, eternally.

Sleep and Waking July 3, 2014 At rest he lies, the spinning thoughts of day On the turbulent surface of the outer mind Are quieted, peace ushers them away, The drowsy eyes that ever seek to find Are closed as dreams begin to softly steal Upon the sleeper in his house of clay, Opening out on worlds that seem more real Than the eclectic incidents of day. And yet to wake to sky and morning's call With hummingbirds and noisy geese a-flight, To see the oaks and maples in the fall Is joy more real than escapades of night. Life burns in him beneath a burnished sky As flames the heart of one who would not die But lives in grat

A Vision in Night I have seen a golden chalice-bloom In the silent communion of night Heard the Master speak in the inner room Away from mortal sight. The crystal's meaning made clear to me By a mathematician of time And the secret of the wonder-tree Laden with blossoms sublime. The still wind whispers songs to come And the silent heart complies A single tone as a droning hum Signals my soul to rise.

Through the Long Night Now through the long night wander, Light small, secure within! Repeat the Name in marvel, The song of Grace begin. Companioned or alone We move in mystic choir, Each tone a golden vessel Filled with liquid fire. Music with me, find voice Of harmony through change - A Master-note of life Supports our mortal range. No trumpet calls to herald The unforeseen delight - O sweet inviolate smile, Break on our timid sight! Full is this sacred hour Of a melodious earth, Thy
